What an incredible night and a fantastic performance from the cast of both productions.  The radio version of 5 7/7 will be available in the coming week at www.sourgrapeproductions.com/577 and on our itunes page at www.itunes.gsfcuk.com

As you may know the dialogue and story of Muhammed in 5 7/7 were based on the real events contained in an incredible documentary by filmmaker Marc Antonio from Spain.  He gave us his blessing before heading off with an aid convoy to Gaza.  Only days after our performance we have woken up to the news that the Israeli Army have borded one of the vesels killing up to 15 people and wounding many others.  We are hoping for news of his safe return.  You can watch his amazing documentary here at www.sourgrapeproductions.com/gaza

Below is the last message we recieved from Marc

Hello Mr Dawson, I hope this reaches you in Good spirits. Please excuse my late late response to your msg which I have just seen. Its been a very busy time with all the work that has been taking place regarding the Flotilla of ships heading for Gaza Harbour shortly. I think its a brilliant idea to lay your work out in the form of a play to which I am sure will reach an Audience, that in another form might well not happen. Please give me 24 hours if you can as I am currently loading goods for shipment to Gaza in the coming week. Im sure you understand at this moment we are under strict orders not to disclose our locations for obvious reasons. Israel has mobilised half its Navy to stop the ships another insane act by a lunatic Government. Thirdly it would be my absolute pleasure to to speak with you about my film or any issue regarding Palestine. I have taken note of all contact information for you Mr Dawson and am Truly sorry for not getting back sooner.  My contact info XXXXXXXXX Please excuse the format of my reply at this busy time. I hope I have covered everything and look forward to further correspondence with you Sir.
Kind regards Marc.

On the morning of the 7/7 London bombings Arianne has already decided to kill herself.  She is intrigued when she comes across a man who has a total disregard for her situation. Why should he? He is in London with death on his mind too but as the conversation develops it soon becomes clear that they have much more in common than they think.  From day one there has been speculation about the existence of a fifth bomber.  Based on fact 5 7/7 follows his story in the 40 minutes leading up to the first explosion and why he never went ahead with his plan.

The Wait

Written by Michael Dawson & Directed by Charlie Mortimer

Three thugs meet an old man in a remote location to carry out a hit.  Both the thugs and the client are way out of their depth for different reasons and as the evening draws on it becomes less and less clear who the bad guy is.  They begin to question the clients sanity when he divulges more about his victim, a man he has not seen for 40 years who will be only 23 years of age when he arrives?

” So funny they were great”

” What an ending, I need to know! “
