London 7/7

Michael Dawson combines fact and fiction to produce a gripping short story about the alleged fifth bomber of 7/7.  The full length treatment has since been adapted into a short one act stage play which examines the reasoning behind various attitudes to life and death by bringing them together on stage.  Lots of the dialogue is adapted from real life stories told by residents of the Gaza Strip.  This is combined with factual information relating to the relationship of the bombers and extensive research into their background.  It is an uncomfortable story which wonders if its possible that the real terrorists are the Western governments buoyed by misinformation and media lies. A report by John Pilger estimates that reliable studies put islamic terrorism combined death toll at around 20,000 people which is a horrific figure until you hear that the West could be responsible for the deaths of 1,000 000 mostly Muslim people in Iraq alone.
